Debossed Blind and Foil Imprints
Debossing uses metal plates to press or imprint your design into the product you're customizing. Debossing results in a design that's stamped down or recessed into the surrounding material (in contrast to embossing, used on our metal plates and covers which results in a design that's raised up).
Choose one of 27 bright metallic, satin metallic or matte foil finish colors to be stamped into your debossed image. Alternatively, opt for a "blind" debossed logo, which is an impression stamped into the cover without color. On some materials, this looks especially stylish, such as genuine leather, faux leather, or faux ostrich.
On Milano Leather, instead of blind debossing, we offer heat burnishing, which is the process of hot stamping a pattern or design into a material. Heat burnishing presses out the prismatic pattern of the Milano leather surface, leaving a refined, crisp, darker notation of the die. Our faux leather materials also accept a heat burnished imprint.
Due to the texture of the material, debossed imprints cannot be added to Faux Leather Basketweave. Opt for a die cut window featuring an embossed metal, debossed leatherette or picture insert. Our new Katari Basketweave will accept a deboss, but the lines of debossed imprints on Katari are not as crisp as they are on other materials.
